Sueki Jar

A stoneware jar with gray clay body partially covered in streaming, translucent green natural ash glaze. The bulbous lower
body is surmounted with a widely flaring neck with a beveled mouth-rim. The neck is decorated with three horizontal ridges
at its base and a series of vertical wavy comb lines around its middle. There are areas of darker “scorch marks” from firing
and sections of glaze degradation from burial.
