Large Bottle Vase with Lotus Decoration
Goryeo Dynasty 12th - 13th c. Korea
Height: 33 cm
A large stoneware pear shaped vase with flared mouth-rim and slightly tapered foot. The body has an underglaze white slip decoration of three lotus flowers beneath a band of overlapping lotus petals on the lower neck. There are two concentric lines above the foot. The celadon glaze has fired to a taupe color, under a clear overglaze.
