Goryeo Celadon Box with Lotus
Diameter: 8 cm
A circular stoneware box with inlaid black and white lotus depiction on the center of the lid. The piece is otherwise covered in a slightly opaque celadon glaze down to its shallow foot. The underfoot has large spur marks. The interior is also covered in celadon glaze, with the exception of the rim, which reveals a stoneware body fired to a buff color.
Condition:
Chips to inner rim repaired with gold lacquer.
