An Early Yaozhou Celadon Bowl

Diameter: 13.5cm
A deep stoneware bowl with slightly flared mouth-rim sitting on a straight raised foot. The piece is covered with a translucent minty green glaze typical of tenth century Yaozhou output. With fitted Japanese box.
This piece likely comes from a tea ceremony collection, where it would have been used as a food bowl in Kaiseki meal settings.
